JOHN PIPKIN

Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, John received his Ph.D. in British Literature from Rice University. He is currently the Director of Undergraduate Creative Writing at The University of Texas at Austin, and he also teaches in the Low-Residency MFA Program in the Naslund-Mann School at Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky.  John has received research and writing fellowships from the Harry Ransom Center,  the Dobie Paisano Fellowship Program, the MacDowell Colony, Yaddo, and the Gullkistan Center for Creativity in Laugarvatn, Iceland.
